About Me...

Outside of OGMS, You Can Find Me...

Spending time with my family, both going out and watching TV. We have our own family business which keeps us busy.

I LOVE Being an Awesome Ocelot Because...

The teachers are helpful and the students are easy to get along with. It's really easy to make friends at Orange Grove.

My Personal Background...

I am married with two sons, one daughter-in-law and 3 grandchildren. I went to school in this school district since I was a 2nd grader at Hillgrove elementary school. I then went here to Orange Grove Middle School and Los altos H.S. I began working in this school district in 1986 as a classroom aide. I have been at Orange Grove as an Instructional Aide in the SDC classroom since 1995, minus a few years when I worked at that other middle school across town

Outside of OGMS, You Can Find Me...

Traveling to Hawaii, San Diego, San Francisco, Newport Beach, Utah, North and South Carolina, Washington DC … I can mostly be found wherever my family is. My son teaches and coaches football at East Los Angeles College, so during football season, I am wherever ELAC is playing on Saturday nights. My oldest granddaughter, 7 year old Payton, plays softball in Whittier and NJB basketball at Los Altos HS. I thoroughly enjoy watching her do her thing. She is a firecracker, just like her Mommy and Daddy. We also enjoy going with the grandkids to Disneyland about once a month. My oldest son Bryan and I enjoy going to the movies and Universal Studios together. I have a nephew who plays baseball for the KC Royals, so we have traveled to several ballparks to watch him pitch.

I LOVE Being an Awesome Ocelot Because...

I love being an awesome ocelot because... Orange Grove has been a part of my family since 1968 when my older sister began her Jr. High years here. I began mine 2 years later in 1970 as a 7th grade student. I loved being an awesome Ocelot then, I loved being an awesome ocelot when my nephew, niece and son attended school here and I love it being an awesome ocelot now. I love it because of the amazing students I work with and the incredible teachers and staff I am associated with on a daily basis. Orange Grove is most beautiful campus in our district. I still remember my first principal, Mr. Jolley, telling us that the most beautiful view in all of Hacienda Heights is the one we have just outside our cafeteria doors. And that was at a time when our mountains were covered in haze and smog many months during our school year. Now we see the majesty of the beautiful San Gabriel mountains and Valley on a daily basis while out at PE and lunch. This place is a special place and I wouldn’t want to spend my weekdays anywhere else!
